BEFORE LOVE
dir. Igor Kovalyov
„We were taken by the technical perfection of the film’s visuals and sound. Humor permeates jealousy and romance in the smallest detail”.
The Silver Jabberwocky goes to
NOČNA PTICA / NIGHTHAWK
dir. Špela Čadež
„This is like a different kind of road movie. The film is well animated and uses a complex multi plan technique. This film deals with an important topic that is often difficult to talk about in an original way”.
The Bronze Jabberwocky goes to
CAFÉ FROID / COLD COFFEE
dir. Stephanie Lansaque, Francois Leroy
„To a film that we felt portrayed the descent into insanity in a way that both horrified and mesmeriezed us”.
Furthermore, the Special Golden Jabberwocky and 2000 PLN for the best school film go to
CIAŁO OBCE / FOREIGN BODY
dir. Marta Magnuska, prod. PWSFTviT
„This film was beautifully rendered with an economy of line which was also gritty and edgy, conveying a forceful message about social and personal complexes and anxieties”.
HONOURABLE MENTIONS

TICK TACK

Andrzej Klimowski awarded an honourable mention to
FIGURY NIEMOŻLIWE I INNE HISTORIE II / IMPOSSIBLE FOGURES AND OTHER STORIES II
dir. Marta Pajek
„We live or most of us have at some time lived in an urban enviroment. The buildings and houses we inhabit we think of as solid, yet, Marta Pajek’s film questions this, taking us ona journey which is unsettling. It is a beautiful nightmare, a visual poem”.
Georges Schwizgebel awarded an honourable mention to
CHEZ MOI / MY HOME
dir. Mai Nguyen
„The film transported me into a fantastic world, where I was enchanted by the emotion that comes from a child’s view on reality which it cannot comprehend”.
Andreas Hykade awarded an honourable mention to
KOMPOZICIJA / COMPOSITION
dir. Mitja Manček
„For keeping me vital, excited and alive, while still leaving space for my imagination”.
The Great Underestimated
special award from Bogusław Zmudziński - Artistic Director of Etiuda&Anima IFF
ŠUMA and KUT
dir. Lucija Mrzljak, Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonia
STUDENT JURY VERDICT
Anna Kubinka, Martyna Hołda and Marzena Pitek awarded
PENELOPE
dir. Heta Jäälinoja,
„We honour a student, yet mature film that uses form smoothly and creatively, and with lightness and humor introduces us into a tangled reality of Penelope, who we met at the moment of trial. The sharpness of observation goes hand in hand with dynamic narration and the freedom of line. It’s exquisitely grotesque and worth appretiating”.
