After the exciting inauguration, we invite you to take part in the events taking place on Wednesday. The second day of Etiuda&Anima starts with the screenings of two children's animations \u2013 \u201cBabsy\u201d and \u201cCaptain Morten and the Spider Queen\u201d. <\/em>Next, we will show you the document about the Czech master of contemporary cinema \u2013 \u201cMilo\u0161 Forman: What Doesn't Kill You...\u201d In the evening, we encourage you to see two full-length animations: Nina Paley's \u00a0\u201cSeder-Masochism\u201d and the thought-provoking \u201cThe Magnificent Cake!\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>by Marc James Roels and Emmy De Swaef. At the Ma\u0142opolska Garden of Art, the Etiuda&Anima competition screenings will be joined by the Polish animated films competition ANIMA.PL. The first appearance from the Self-Portraits of Animation Authors series will undoubtedly turn out as the event of the day because of Paul Driessen \u2013 an author of Academy awarded short animation \u201c3 Misses\u201d, <\/em>and the coauthor of \u201cYellow Submarine\u201d.<\/em> At the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts, our special guest, Wojciech B\u0105kowski, will present his audiovisual works from the Between the Media series, later on joined by the installation created by the students of Professor Virgil Widrich. Nederlandse Filmacademie will be awarded the Special Golden Dinosaur for the best film school of IFF Etiuda&Anima 2017. At the Krakow Technology Park we will open the 2-day conference \u201cAnimation, feature, documentary film \u2013 on the synergy of connections\u201d. We also invite you for the screenings of the films by the laureates of the 25th<\/sup> anniversary of Etiuda&Anima, and the films commemorating the 50 years of animation in Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A trip to the zoo, a camping site, a day in the kindergarden, or even staying at home with a flu can mark the beginning of extraordinary adventures. \u201cBabsy\u201d is an adaptation of five books from a cult series created by Zofia Stanecka and Marianna Oklejak.<\/p>\n

Loosely following a traditional Passover Seder, events from the Book of Exodus are retold by Moses, Aharon, the Angel of Death, Jesus, and the director\u2019s own father. But there\u2019s another side to this story: that of the Goddess, humankind\u2019s original deity. \u201cSeder-Masochism\u201d resurrects the Great Mother in a tragic struggle against the forces of Patriarchy.<\/p>\n
