ETIUDA Competition<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In ETIUDA competition took part 32 students\u2019 movies from 13 countries, selected from 1000 send. Jury (Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz \u2013 Chairwoman, Bodo Kox, Emi Buchwald, Tayfun Dalk\u0131l\u0131\u00e7, \u0160tep\u00e1n Altrichter) honoured Golden Dinosaur and money award of 15 000 PLN movie \u201cDregs\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Kordian K\u0105dziela) because \u201cFilm dealing with the subject of loneliness in a concise manner with the use of comic means<\/em>\u201d. Silver Dinosaur went to \u201cBeautiful Figure\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Hajni Kis) for \u201cthe creation of a strong character of the female protagonist and the masterly acting<\/em>\u201d. Bronze Dinosaur was awarded to movie \u201cATTAK\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Ruben Meier) for \u201cthe ironic clash of the world of violence with the world of media and Internet communication<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jury of ETIUDA awards also prize of Special Golden Dragon for movie school, which sent the best set of movies for festival. This year for quality of presented movies were honoured Nederlandse Filmacademie. Jury members decided to give honour diplomas to films: \u201cOur Own\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Malu Janssen, Nederlandse Filmacademie), \u201eIn Love with Cinema\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Ascar Nurakunuulu, K\u0131rg\u0131zistan-Turkiye Manas Universitesi), \u201eMy Memorial Day\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Daniella Meroz, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem). The Great Underestimated, Award of the Artistic Director Bogus\u0142aw Zmudzi\u0144ski, went to \u201cSymbiophony\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Eugeniusz Pankov).<\/p>\n

Students\u2019 jury also announced its verdict \u2013 Monika Szyd\u0142owska, Luiza Weso\u0142owska, Wojciech \u015awi\u0105tek awarded short movie \u201eATTAK\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Ruben Meirer). In their turn representatives of International Federation of Movie Discussion Clubs (Konrad Domaszewski, Gunter Lange, Tariq Porter) gave Don Kichot award to \u201eMillimeterle\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Pascal Reinmann) and the special mention to \u201cDregs\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Kordian K\u0105dziela). The audience award winner is short movie \u201cDog Meat\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Ksenia Tischenko).<\/p>\n

Award for the best cinematography for the students from the countries of the Visegrad Group (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) in the form of in-kind contribution of 5 000 PLN funded by Heliograf company went to \u201cBeautiful Figure\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Hajni Kis).<\/p>\n

ANIMA\u00a0Competition<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the ANIMA competition 69 movies from 30 countries were rivalising (to selection came as much as 1433 movies), made by both students and already awarded creators. By decision of jury composed of: Piotr Duma\u0142a (Chairman), Theodore Ushev, Lucija Mrzljak, Gunnar Str\u00f8m, Andrea Martignoni, winner of competition and Golden Jabberwocky and 15 000 PLN became a movie \u201cOh, Mother!\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Paulina Zi\u00f3\u0142kowska) for \u201cits minimalistic charm, inventive composition of the frame and significant message\u201d. Silver Jabberwocky went to the animation \u201cHedgehog\u2019s Home\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Eva Cvijanovic) for \u201ctechnically perfect and brave interpretation of a timeless story\u201d. Bronze Jabberwocky went to \u201eA Photo of Me\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Dennis Tupicoff) for \u201cbalanced craftsmanship in storytelling\u201d.<\/p>\n

Special Golden Jabberwocky and 2000 PLN for best student animated short movie was presented to \u201cA Love Letter to the One I Made Up\u201d<\/strong>, (dir. Rachel Gutgarts). Honour distinctions went to films: \u201eThe Junction \u2013 Chilly Gonzales & Peaches\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Patrick Doyon), \u201eNotes on Monstropedia\u201d<\/strong> (dir. K\u014dji Yamamura), \u201eRabid\u2019s Blood\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Sarina Nihei), Sog<\/strong> (dir. Jonathan Schwenk), \u201e9 Ways to Draw a Person\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Sasha Svirsky). The Great Underestimated went to \u201cNothing Happens\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Michelle and Uri Kranot).<\/p>\n

Students\u2019 jury (Michalina Mosurek, Katarzyna Kuca, Sandra Pas\u0142awska) awarded \u201cNegative Space\u201d<\/strong> by Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata, audience gave a prize to a film \u201cDelicatessen\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Fengling Chen).<\/p>\n

ANIMA.PL Competition<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

And in the ANIMA.PL competition 43 movies from Poland were rivalising (to selection came as much as 100 movies). By decision of jury composed of: Jerzy Kucia (Chairman), Andrzej Orzechowski, Piotr M\u0142odo\u017ceniec, Bernard Genin, Hubert Sielecki, winner of competition and Golden \u017bmij and 5 000 PLN became a movie \u201cImpossible Figures and Other Stories II\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Marta Pajek). Silver \u017bmij went to the animation \u201cStrange Case\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Zbigniew Czapla). Bronze \u017bmij went to \u201cMr. Miniscule and the Whale\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Andrzej Gosieniecki).<\/p>\n

Special Golden \u017bmij and 2000 PLN for best student animated short movie was presented to \u201cSchroedinger\u2019s Dog\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Natalia Krawczuk).<\/p>\n

Honour distinctions went to: Anna Beata Bara\u0144ska for \u201eForsaken Forest\u201d<\/strong>, Piotr Kabat for \u201eSuper Film\u201d<\/strong>, Izabela Pluci\u0144ska for \u201eEvening\u201d<\/strong>. The Great Underestimated went to \u201cZ as in Puzzle\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Micha\u0142 and Kuba Socha).<\/p>\n

ASIFA Poland Award and Students Jury Award (in composition: Kaja Sulima, Marzena Pitek, Anna Wa\u0107kowska) went to Piotr Kabat for \u201eSuper Film\u201d<\/strong>. Audience gave a prize to a film \u201cOh Jesus\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Betina Bo\u017cek).<\/p>\n
