In these interactive performances, artists meet the audience, talk about their work and reveal the secrets of their techniques. The guests of this year's edition are: G\u00e9za M. T\u00f3th \u2013 Hungarian filmmaker nominated for the Academy Award, Svetlana Filippova \u2013 one of the most talented Russian animators, Claudius Gentinetta \u2013 Swiss author of cartoons and comic books.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size:19px;\">G\u00e9za M. T\u00f3th<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Born 16 June 1970 is an Oscar nominated Hungarian filmmaker. Founder and leader of KEDD Animation Studio, university professor and the rector of\u00a0University of Theater and Film Arts, Budapest. He is a member of the\u00a0International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>He is a multifarious artist, works in a huge palette of the arts. He made some theatrical production, animations for kids and educational films. He also made television commercials, series, animation inserts and lots of illustrations in children\u2019s book.<\/p>\n<p>As a filmmaker he made several successful and unique short films (<em>Maestro,\u00a0Ergo,\u00a0Mama, Yes,\u00a0Icar, The Pied Piper<\/em>) which were in competition in the most prestigious film festivals. <em>Maestro<\/em> (2005) was nominated as the Best animated short film at the\u00a0American Filmacademy\u2019s Oscar.\u00a0His works won around 100 prizes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Self-Portraits of Animation Authors (I) \u2013 G\u00e9za M. T\u00f3th<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size:19px;\">Claudius Gentinetta<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Claudius Gentinetta was born in 1968 in Lucerne, Switzerland. He studied graphic design and animation in Lucerne, Liverpool and Kassel. In 1995 he got a scholarship and spent a year in Cracow. He works as freelance graphic artist and animation film designer in Zurich. He dedicated most of his life producing animation films and weird comics. His filmography includes among others: \u201eHungry\u201d (1987), \u201eLife\u201d (1990), \u201eAmok\u201d (1997), \u201ePoldek\u201d (2004), \u201eDie Seilbahn\u201d (2008), \u201eSchlaf\u201d (2010), \u201eIslander \u2018s Rest\u201d (2015). Claudius Gentinetta will be the guest in the series of \u201cSelf-Portraits of Animation Authors\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Self-Portraits of Animation Authors (II) \u2013 Claudius Gentinetta<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>24th November (Friday), 05.30 pm.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Kij\u00f3w Centrum \u2013 Large Screening Room<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size:19px;\">Svetlana Filippova<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Svetlana Filippova is last year winner of <b>Grand Prix of Etiuda&amp;Anima \u2013 Golden Jabberwocky for movie \u201cBrutus\u201d<\/b> (Russia 2014). In 1991 she graduated from philology at National University in Kazachstan and in 1997 course for screenwriters and directors of animated movies conducted by big names of Russian animation: Fidor Chitruk, Jurij Norsztejn. Eduard Nazarow, Andrey Khrzhanovski. Author of animated movies that won prizes in her home country and abroad: \u201c<em>The Night Has Come\u201d <\/em>(1998), \u201c<em>Sarah\u2019s Tale\u201d<\/em> (2006), \u201c<em>Three Love Stories\u201d<\/em> (2007), \u201c<em>Where Dogs Die\u201d<\/em> (2011), \u201c<em>Brutus\u201d <\/em>(2014). Her art works were shown at many exhibitions in Moscow, Petersburg, Paris, Bologna, Sofia, Bratislava.
