Starting from June 23rd<\/sup>, Polish audience will have an opportunity to see an amazing animated feature \u201dThe Red Turtle\u201d in cinemas all over the country. We had a pleasure to present a pre-release screening of this long-awaited film by an acclaimed Michael Dudok de Wit during the 24th<\/sup> edition of the IFF Etiuda&Anima 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe Red Turtle\u201d, produced by Studio Ghibli and Wild Bunch, is a result of a long-standing work of the outstanding artist who was nominated for an Oscar three times and awarded with this awarded for his poignant animated film titled \u201dFather and Daughter\u201d. A highly distinctive and poetic language of Dudok de Wit, who portrays emotions and human relations in a masterly manner, is a trademark of all his works.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe Red Turtle\u201d was an initiative of Studio Ghibli which proposed that the Dutch animated film maker developed an animated feature based completely on his own vision. The animation lovers from all over the world waited for the results of this artistic collaboration for a couple of years.<\/p>\n

The world premiere of \u201dThe Red Turtle\u201d was on May 18th<\/sup>, 2016 at the Cannes Festival.\u00a0 The following premiere screenings took place, among others, in Holland, Australia, Canada, Japan, USA, Greece, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Slovenia, Russia, Brazil and Turkey.<\/p>\n

The film has met with a favourable response from not only the professionals from the animated film industry, but above all, the viewers. The poignant animated story has been numerously awarded by festival audience from all the continents. In Poland, \u201dThe Red Turtle\u201d was presented with a great success at Animator Festival and IFF Etiuda&Anima and awarded at Scope100 \u2013 an initiative of Gutek Film during which the viewers from all over the country select a foreign film to be released in cinemas in Poland.\u00a0 The audience members of this year\u2019s edition of the project decided that it was \u201dThe Red Turtle\u201d that they want to see in Polish cinemas.<\/p>\n

The Polish distributor of the animated film is obviously Gutek Film. The film will open in cinemas on June 23rd<\/sup>, 2017. You are all very welcome to see it!<\/p>\n
