\u00a0\u201cEducation\u201d (dir. Emi Buchwald) is the Winner of Golden Dinosaur, and \u201cBefore Love\u201d (dir. Igor Kovalyov) is the Winner of Golden Jabberwocky! <\/strong><\/p>\n

In ETIUDA competition took part 40 students\u2019 movies from 16 countries, selected from 1500 send. Jury (Maciej J. Drygas \u2013 chairman, Ryszard Ja\u017awi\u0144ski, Yoav Kosh, Martin \u0160toll, Fernanda Valadez) honoured Golden Dinosaur and money award of 15 000 PLN movie \u201cNauka\u201d \/ \u201cEducation\u201d (dir. Emi Buchwald) for \u201da wise documentary film narrated with the original film language\u201d. Silver Dinosaur went to \u201cDie Stille\u201d \/ \u201cStill\u201d (dir. Lily Erlinger) for \u201ca moving, multidimensional and subtle psychological drama\u201d. Bronze Dinosaur was awarded to movie \u201eNabelschnur\u201d \/ \u201eUmbilical Cord\u201d (dir. Eliza Petkova) for \u201cthe original aesthetics and formally intriguing storytelling, filled with humor\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jury of ETIUDA awards also prize of Special Golden Dinosaur for film school, which sent the best set of movies for festival. This year for quality of presented movies were honoured Lodz Film School. Jury members decided to give honour diplomas to films: \u201eSamira\u201d (dir. Charlotte A. Rofles, Hamburg Media School), \u201eLokatorki\u201d \/ \u201eTenants\u201d (dir Klara Kocha\u0144ska-Bajon, Lodz Film School), \u201eBeneath the Wheel\u201d (dir. KWAK Eun-mi, KAFA \u2013 Korean Academy of Film Arts).<\/p>\n

The Great Underestimated \u2013 the Award of the Artistic Director Bogus\u0142aw Zmudzi\u0144ski in ETIUDA get to \u201cTwins\u201d by Pablo Radice. Students\u2019 jury also announced its verdict \u2013 Katarzyna Popiel, Monika Polak, Rafa\u0142 Badan awarded short movie \u201eNabelschnur\u201d \/ \u201eUmbilical Cord\u201d (dir. Eliza Petkova). In their turn representatives of International Federation of Movie Discussion Clubs (Simon Bunckenburg, \u0141ukasz Raszewski, Babil Vincente Vives) gave Don Kichot award to \u201eNabelschnur\u201d \/ \u201eUmbilical Cord\u201d (dir. Eliza Petkova) and gave two honour distinctions to: \u201eSightseeing\u201d (dir. David Borbas, Budapest Metropolitan University), \u201eKis\u201d (dir. Svetlana Bolycheva, Russian State University of Cinematography). The audience award winner is short movie \u201eSzcz\u0119ko\u015bcisk\u201d \/ \u201cLockjaw\u201d (dir. Kordian K\u0105dziela, Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Faculty of Radio and Television University of Silesia).<\/p>\n

Award for the best cinematography for the students from the countries of the Visegrad Group (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) in the form of in-kind contribution of 5 000 PLN funded by Heliograf company went to\u00a0 \u201eSzcz\u0119ko\u015bcisk\u201d \/ \u201cLockjaw\u201d (dir. Kordian K\u0105dziela).<\/p>\n

And in the ANIMA competition 68 movies from 30 countries were rivalising (to selection came as much as 1126 movies), made by both students and already awarded creators. By decision of jury composed of: Georges Schwizgebel (chairman), Andreas Hykade, Anita Killi, Andrzej Klimowski, Nancy Denney-Phelps, winner of competition and Golden Jabberwocky and 15 000 PLN became a movie \u201cBefore Love\u201d (dir. Igor Kovalyov) for: \u201cWe were taken by the technical perfection of the film\u2019s visuals and sound. Humor permeates jealousy and romance in the smallest detail\u201d.<\/p>\n

Silver Jabberwocky went to the animation \u201eNo\u010dna ptica\u201d \/ \u201eNighthawk\u201d (\u0160pela \u010cade\u017e) for: \u201cThis is like a different kind of road movie. The film is well animated and uses a complex multi plan technique. This film deals with an important topic that is often difficult to talk about in an original way\u201d. Bronze Jabberwocky went to \u201eCaf\u00e9 froid\u201d \/ \u201cCold Coffee\u201d (dir. Stephanie Lansaque, Francois Leroy) for:\u00a0\u201eTo a film that we felt portrayed the descent into insanity in a way that both horrified and mesmeriezed us\u201d. Special Golden Jabberwocky and 2000 PLN for best student animated short movie was presented to \u201cCia\u0142o obce\u201d \/\u201cForeign Body\u201d (dir. Marta Magnuska) for. Honour distinctions went to films: \u201eTick Tack\u201d by\u00a0 \u00dclo Pikkov, \u201eAu revoir, Balthasar\u201d by Rafael Sommerhalder, \u201eFigury niemo\u017cliwe i inne historie II\u201d \/ \u201eImpossible Figures and Other Stories II\u201d by Marta Pajek, \u201eChez moi\u201d \/ \u201cMy Home\u201d by Mai Nguyen, \u201eKompozicija\u201d \/ \u201cComposition\u201d by Mitja Man\u010dek.<\/p>\n
