Feel invited to the screening of \"The Czech Year\" (\"\u0160pal\u00ed\u010dek\") by Ji\u0159\u00ed Trnka\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<strong>\u00a0the master of Czech animation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size:13px; line-height:20px; text-align:justify;\">\u2018The Czech Year\u2019 (1947) is Jir\u00ed Trnka\u2019s first full-length film. In process of making the movie he used puppets and a stop-motion technique. \u2018The Czech Year\u2019 storyline bases on Czech folklore and rituals that were gathered by Franti\u0161ek Hrub\u00edn in a book with the same title. The movie consists of six sequences illustrating a pulse of life in a Czech countryside at particular times of the year. The movie brought Trnka a great many awards and international recognition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11906 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/etiudaandanima.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Jiri-Trnka1.jpg\" alt=\"jiri-trnka1\" width=\"425\" height=\"511\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fundacja.etiudaandanima.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Jiri-Trnka1.jpg 900w, https:\/\/fundacja.etiudaandanima.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Jiri-Trnka1-600x723.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size:13px; line-height:20px; text-align:justify;\">Jir\u00ed Trnka (1912-1969) was hailed the Disney of Eastern Europe, because right after the war he was regarded to be most powerful opponent of the animation tycoon. However, Trnka\u2019s works were always standing far from Disney\u2019s style. Unusual thematics and number of forms of expression were defining feature of his movies \u2013 it\u2019s characteristic of so-called Czech school of animation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11907\" src=\"http:\/\/etiudaandanima.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/spalicek1-1.jpg\" alt=\"spalicek1\" width=\"840\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fundacja.etiudaandanima.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/spalicek1-1.jpg 840w, https:\/\/fundacja.etiudaandanima.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/spalicek1-1-600x357.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size:13px; line-height:20px; text-align:justify;\">\u201c(\u2026) Attention to detail is the most amazing thing in Trnka\u2019s works: animated figures even make reflections in water and the way they move were taken from real persons \u2013 for this effect filmmakers used to measure time of their own reactions by performing specific activities and converting those results to screening time.
