\u201e400 Bags\u201d<\/strong> (<\/strong>dir. <\/strong>Fernanda Valadez, Mexico)<\/strong> is the Winner of Golden Dinosaur, and <\/strong>\u201eErlking\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Georges Schwizgebel, Switzerland) is the Winner of <\/strong>Golden Jabberwocky! <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"400maletasIn ETIUDA competition took part 34 students\u2019 movies from 12 countries, selected from 531 send. Jury (Stanislava P\u0159\u00e1dn\u00e1 \u2013 chairwoman, M\u00e1ty\u00e1s Prikler, Henryk Sawka, Agnieszka Woszczy\u0144ska) honoured Golden Dinosaur and money award of 10 000 z\u0142 movie \u201c400 Bags<\/strong>\u201d (dir. Fernanda Valadez) from Mexico for:<\/p>\n

\n

its unpretentious, humanistic message. The film shows social problems of the residents of a poor country, who risk all and leave in search of a better life. The atmosphere of the story is highlighted by an evocative soundtrack<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Silver Dinosaur went to \"Story of an Object\"<\/strong> \u00a0<\/em>(dir. Carlota Castells Puig) from Spain for:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cits formal sophistication and intelligent humour\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Bronze Dinosaur was awarded to movie \u201cUnder the Robes\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Michel Zarazir) from Lebanon for<\/p>\n

\n

an apt, satirical look at monastic life and a grotesque presentation of several themes in one short, absurd situation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"SousJury of ETIUDA awards also prize of Special Golden Dragon for movie school, which sent the best set of movies for festival. This year for quality of presented movies were honoured Centro de Capacitaci\u00f3n Cinematogr\u00e1fica from Mexico. Jury members decided to give honour diplomas to three films: \u201cDeath & the Maiden\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Yael Lotem, Izrael-Germany), \u201eSnails\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Grzegorz Szczepaniak, Poland), \u201eThe Way You Die\u201d<\/strong> (re\u017c. Manuel Vogel, Germany).<\/p>\n

Students\u2019 jury also announced its verdict \u2013 Konrad D\u0119bowski, Karolina Stycze\u0144, Monika \u017belazko awarded short movie \u201cOnno The Oblivious\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Viktor van der Valk, the Netherlands). <\/strong>In their turn representatives of International Federation of Movie Discussion Ckubs (Janine Andersson, Sebastiono Caroni, Jacek Dziduszko) gave Don Kichot award to \u201cAll We Share\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Jerry Carlsson, Sweden). The audience award winner is Polish short movie \u201cDebut \u2013 Love\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Sylwia Rosiak).<\/p>\n

\"579And in the ANIMA competition 69 movies from 24 countries were rivalising (to selection came as much as 936 movies), made by both students and already awarded creators. By decision of jury composed of: Thomas Renoldner (chairman), Svietlana Filippova, Teresa Glad, Cecilia Traslavi\u00f1a, winner of competition and Golden Jabberwocky and 15 000 PLN became a movie \u201cErlking\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Georges Schwizgebel, Switzerland) for:<\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0 the intelligent and artistic way of talking about the dialectic of life and death<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Silver Jabberwocky went to Polish animation \u201cA Blue Room\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Tomasz Siwi\u0144ski),<\/p>\n

because it offers a strong reflection how memories work in a traumatic situation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Bronze Jabberwocky went to \u201eBokus Mang\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Sasha Svirsky, Russia) for:<\/p>\n

its brilliant graphic intuition<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Special Golden Jabberwocky and 2000 PLN for best student animated short movie was presented to \u201cFish What I Desire\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Yao Xiang, Great Britain) for:<\/p>\n

keeping us in a feeling of deep loneliness of human existence<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"933Honour distinctions went to five films: \u201eThe Deal\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Ewa Smyk, Great Britain), \u201e4 min 15 in the Developer\u201d<\/strong> (dir.\u00a0Mo\u00efa Jobin-Par\u00e9, <\/em>Canada), \u201eSoot\u201d<\/strong> (re\u017c. David Doutel & Vasco S\u00e1, Portugal), \u201eLife with Herman H. Rott\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Chintis Lundgren, Estonia), \u201eThe Sleepwalker\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Theodore Ushev, Canada).<\/p>\n

Students\u2019 jury (B\u0142a\u017cej \u015awi\u0119cicki, Weronika Kuc, Alicja \u0141uczy\u0144ska) awarded \u201cA Documentary Film\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Marcin Podolec, Polska), audience gave a prize to Estonian \"Life with Herman H. Rott\u201d<\/strong> (dir. Chintis Lundgren).<\/p>\n
