The 25th International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima begins. We are eagerly waiting for the Opening Night, which will start at 8 p.m. at the Kijów Centrum cinema. But before that, join us at the Małopolska Garden of Art to see the first Etiuda&Anima competition screenings and the student films awarded on the occasion of our 25th anniversary. At the Kijów Centrum cinema at 5 p.m. we will be showing the document – “Love Express. The Disappearance of Walerian Borowczyk”. Apart from that, we invite you to visit the two exhibitions, which will open today at the Małopolska Garden of Art and the Kijów Centrum cinema.

A documentary film by HBO Europe on work of Walerian Borowczyk – a film director of unique sensitivity who was highly renowned in the 1960s and 70s, but later became pigeonholed mainly as a producer of erotic films. It is with the utmost pleasure that we come back, after many years and on the occasion of the anniversary of the great success of the animation “House” (“Dom”) by Jan Lenica and Walerian Borowczyk at EXPO 58 in Brussels, to a figure of the second ”founding father” of the Polish school of animation.

An exhibition presenting the artistic work of the outstanding Czech surrealist, the laureate of the Special Golden Jabberwocky – the award of the 25th anniversary of Anima&Etiuda Festival, prepared on the occasion of publishing a fundamental work under the same title by Bertrand Schmitt and František Dryje.
An exhibition of photos from the production of student etudes made during workshops for the third year students of directing department of Lodz Film School under guidance of prof. Ewa Braun in years 2003 – 2007.
